Useful information

Health recommendations:

Hands Four recommends that our participants are COVID-19 vaccinated and have received booster shots.

However, we appeal to everybody's common sense, if you sign up for this event. So if you feel sick or if you are recovering from COVID-19, variants or have the flu or symptoms , please stay at home.

Wash or sanitize your hands often during this event and feel free to use a mask.

Do yourself and others a favor and get tested about 72 hours before the event begins.

 

 

Parking:

Parking around the folk center or across the street. No overnight stays on parking lot allowed (according to city rules).

 

 

Dancing:

The caller will use the traditional terms "ladies and gents" during the dances, and individuals are welcome to dance positions that they feel comfortable with.

Saturday buffet at the Folk Center: Family style salad w/dressing, veggie soup, baked potato, KY smoked hickory ham, pasta/meat sauce, meatless lasagne, veggie trays, ice cream. $12.00.

Sunday breakfast at the Folk Center: Selection of fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, toast, jelly, ham, eggs, coffee, tea, juice, and milk. $10.00.

Accommodation: There are several motels and B&Bs in town at reasonable rates. 

We are not in a position to organize home stays at this point.

Red Roof Inn, (859) 985-8000, at Exit 76, 196 Prince Royal Dr, Berea. Rooms at $70 + tax, incl. light breakfast. Max. 2 persons in each room. Outdoor pool. 

Booking code: Sune. Only two minutes' drive from folk center, close to restaurants, shopping and gas stations. Free Wi-Fi, pet friendly.  We have used Red Roof Inn for 20 years.

Directions to folk center: I-75 exit 76, go towards Berea, pass Walmart on your right, continue uphill, turn left on North Broadway (Artisan Village), turn right on Jefferson Street.

Childcare: Hands Four will not provide childcare, unless specifically requested. If children are not with a child care person, they must remain under your supervision at all times.

Tobacco, alcohol and pets: Not allowed at the folk center. 

Refunds: Hands Four will refund you 90% of your fee, if you have to cancel.   

In case, we need to cancel the whole event, participants will receive a 100% refund.
